Department of Computing – Overview

Welcome to the Department of Computing!

The Department of Computing of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong has the mission to provide high quality education in IT to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world.  In 2016-17, we launched the first Bachelor’s Degree programme in Computing. Currently, our department offers a wide range of  30 modules in many areas of computer science, including popular subjects such as  software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile computing, financial computing, HCI and more.

BSc (Hons) in Applied Computing (BSc-AC) Degree Programme

BSc-AC is a four years degree programme in applied computing. It emphasizes practical skills for the development of efficient and reliable software solutions. At the same time, the programme provides supplementary knowledge from AI, machine learning, mobile computing, graphic design, UX design and various application areas in order to develop students’ ability to produce competitive IT solutions.

MSc  in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (MSc-DSAI)

In this exciting Master Degree programme, students will learn to master the latest technologies in data science and machine learning and their real world applications. The programme is designed for students from a wide range of disciplines with interests in applied AI technologies.

Industrial Relation

We maintain good relationship with the industry to provide various opportunities for our students, including on-the-job training, company visits and student projects.
