Professor P C Wong is a renowned IT in education expert in Hong Kong.   He has been a Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for twenty years, and is currently the Director of Information Technology of Hang Seng Management College.   He leads the ITSC team of professionals to set up a university-grade IT infrastructure, to develop many innovative college applications, and to offer high quality IT/AV support services.   He also leads the e-learning team to spearhead the development of e-learning and Massive Open Online Courses (MooC).

Prof Wong received all his degrees, BSc, MPhil, and PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has published over 50 papers, has acquired over 60 million HKD funding, and accomplished numerous successful projects. These projects include VChina - Video Conferencing Network for Schools in, VIOLA – a Video-on-Demand system on Local Area Networks, and Hong Kong School Net – an Internet for schools in Hong Kong.  School Net won the IT Application Award and VIOLA won two US patents and the IT Excellence Award.  In 2010, Prof Wong helped the HKSAR Government to set up Hong Kong Education City, which quickly became the flagship education portal in Hong Kong.

Prof Wong has been active in community services.  He has been a member of the Quality Education Fund Steering Committee, the IT in Education Steering Committee, the Education Commission, and the Chairman of Committee on Home-School Cooperation.   He has given talks to teachers, parents, and students.   In 2001, Prof Wong was awarded the Medal of Honor for his contributions to IT in education.
